Verve is also a technology platform: serving premium publishers across the nation – - mostly premium local news content brands – - delivering the platforms and services they need to power and monetize their mobile properties.

Verve was founded in 2005 and is geographically dispersed with its main offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Carlsbad, CA.


This is a strategic and senior sales position in New York, focused primarily on some of the largest New York digital ad agencies and their clients.

This person will focus on spending in-person time with agencies and clients, evangelizing Verve and location-powered advertising.

The position requires a strategic thinker who will be deeply involved – - with the help of Verve’s support-team and management – - in creating location-based advertising solutions for advertisers that lead to strategic and long term partnerships.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys taking a complex and sometimes technical set of capabilities, and translating that into a compelling and solutions-oriented story for the marketplace.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently but cooperatively and enthusiastically in what is still a “start-up environment.”

  • Minimum Requirements: 3-5 years+ of online advertising sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success in a goal oriented, highly accountable sales environment.
  • Superior communication skills, including face-to-face presentations, phone and email
  • An entrepreneurial approach to business.
  • The ability to structure, negotiate, and close advertising opportunities working within best practices guidelines.
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment where there is constant change and limited resources.
  • Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical
  • Fortitude to attack every challenge as though there are no other options but to succeed
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
